The Heavenly Body! #chocolate #mystery

Swimming beneath the surface of clear blue turquoise waters,

The gentle current above casting a muriel of sunlit patterns, up and down the length of you;

As you emerge carrying a conch shell picked up trawling the seabed,

More pebbles of sea water seem to hang onto your sun kissed bikini body,

Choosing to melt away than let go;

Like the attention of passers by,

Everything seems to have second thoughts letting go of you!

Can’t blame ’em:

It’s like watching a rare natural phenomenon;

You’ve turned this borderline saint into a full-fledged sinner with that body,

And I’d take a pass on a eternity of heaven,

To have another go on the merry-go-round with you,

She’s like the finest ice cream you’ve ever tasted,

With every look and smile cast your way, like biting into chocolate bits,

Would you give up chocolate to reserve your place in heaven?

I didn’t think so!

Moments in a Lifetime

Two young souls,

Each, in their own right:

Possessing unrestrained beauty,

Unleashed in a single glance,

Potent enough to shatter glass,

And liquify the fragments,

When they find each other,

As lovers do;

They create a thing of beauty far greater than their individual parts;

In that moment-

For life is but a series of moments attached to a bolas-

They can turn half the mortal world to jelly, with their story;

If only a moment, was not just a moment;

And, could be stretched to a lifetime;

A feat, very few have the patience to achieve,

As Romeo and Juliette found out, alas.

Echo of a Song

A quiet moment,

Rarity, held in a palm;

A pulse,

Kept warm and safe;

Allowed to echo,

And, grow;

Into an enchantment,

Found within its song,

Now, cradling your soul;

Providing you solace,

Like a mother to a newborn,

Save, the roles have reversed in time,

The child has grown,

And, it is he who now holds your frail body,

Whispering words of comfort,

As you die.

Tree of Life

I will make myself stronger;

To weather storms;

Become the tree of life itself if I must;

To give you shelter and respite,

An opportunity to grow in relative freedom;

As my parents and loved ones did for me

No life is completely free of traumas my child,

The objective is to show you what is possible than not,

So that you may one day provide shelter to those who need it,

Then look out yonder,

At the forrest of your forefathers,

And, not be afraid to set down your own roots,

To begin the difficult task of building and nurturing,

A forrest of your very own.

A Woman’s Love

A woman’s love is hard to find,

If you happen to be so fortunate to find it,

Treat it with care;

For, whatever else she may tell you in heated exchanges,

Or, to hurt you a little (like a child’s bite),

She loves you wholeheartedly without restraint,

An all consuming feat,

That leaves you speechless to behold;

So, please forgive her if she’s demonstrably possessive or reactionary at times,

For (as I believe she will confide in you in more sober times) she does not mean to be;

And in exchange for this, you must be her pillar,

To give her time!

Antidote to Winter

Do you remember the sun?

Walking on a sandy beach with warmth bearing down,

A glazed sea, glistening and reflecting light;

As the sea shimmers, with each wave gently rolling in and out;

Warm sands crunching between your toes,

As you and I walk along the shore hand-in-hand;

It’s a marmalade day dream;

And, the only thing bitter is:

It’s not here, and now!

Female of the Species

Woman, you’re a complex puzzle;

Quick to trigger your disapproval;

Slow to give your countenance or affection;

Even slower to forgive, and never forgotten,

I am not a misogynist,

For I *love* women (perhaps even more than you do!);

Your compassion is breathtaking;

Loyalty, remarkable;

And your ability to love unselfishly, is the greatest wonder of nature that has ever been found.
