Battle fatigued

And torn to pieces

A soldier, shortly I will have been

Fortune, I found none

An honourable mention

Is all I’ve earned

After all the terrible things I’ve done

For king, queen or country

For none of that matters, now

After all is said and done

I died for them

But I lived for you.
